Shopping with Mom (The Finds)

This is probably one of the best finds in a long time. When you see the before shot you're going to wonder why this was such a long time coming...

Yikes! This fan REALLY does not fit in THIS room (or maybe any other for that matter)...
The chandelier was only $200, not too bad for an antique crystal chandelier. While I love to shop in Boerne, Gruene and Fredricksburg, there are bargains to be found right here in San Antonio! You have to really hunt and the stores aren't as "pretty" but take a trip down Hildebrand Rd. to get deals, deals, deals! I'm going to give up some info. which I should keep secret but I fell in love with this store and it needs to be shared. Casa Bella Shabby Chic, Vintage and Cottage. It is a hidden jewel which I just discovered. I was amazed at the talent of the owner and shocked to discover that it was a MAN. He has not only mastered the look of shabby chic but he hand crafts beautiful lampshades, ornaments and other assorted decorations out of vintage linen and silver. I was in awe of his cute little shop. I would like to do a feature on him in the near future. My mom and I were to busy shopping that day to stop and take pics. I know, if I'm going to take this blogging thing seriously I need to do that. NEWBIE!

Here are a couple of my purchases...

I thought she would be perfect for the top of my tree with a little embellishment and a bargain at $6. And yes, I still don't have my tree up.:(

This cute little tin box came with a lid but was perfect for the poinsettia that my son came home with from school yesterday.

OK, enough shopping for ourselves! It's better to give than receive, right? I just can't help myself when I find a bargain and frankly it's not as much fun to shop for the men in my life with their sports related items and other boy stuff.  Am I right?
